NET.exe – Windows CMD Command

The NET Command is used to manage network resources as follows:

NET ACCOUNTS, USER, GROUP, LOCALGROUP – Logins & Security

NET COMPUTER, CONFIG_ – Network configuration (Workstation/Server)

NET FILE, SESSIONS – Manage open files and user sessions

NET HELP, HELPMSG – Help

NET PRINT – Manage Network Print jobs

NET TIME – Manage Network Time

NET START, STOP, PAUSE, CONTINUE – Manage Services

File and printer sharing:

NET SHARE – Create file and printer shares

NET USE – Connect to a file/print Share (Drive Map)

NET VIEW – View file and printer shares

When using a NET command in a batch file, you can use the /Y or /N switch to unconditionally answer Yes or No to questions returned by the Net command.
